Welcome to 6th grade math at Columbia Middle School.  Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. My email address is jean.mier@ccboe.net.  You can also reach out via remind using the codes below.  
Please follow me on Remind for the latest updates about our classroom.  There are two class codes.  One if for students who are attending traditional school and the other is for students who are doing Learn From Home.  Please make sure you are joining the correct class. 
Signing up for text messages
  1. Text my class code @mier6 to the phone number 81010 (TRADITIONAL)
  2. Text my class code @mier6LFH to the phone number 81010 (LEARN FROM HOME)
  3. Reply to the text messages from the Remind team.

Signing up for smartphone notifications

  1. Download the Remind app on your Android or iOS device.
  2. Open the app and create an account (or log in if you already have one).
  3. Tap the + by classes joined and enter my class code @mier6 (TRADITIONAL)                                           OR
  4. Tap the + by classes joined and enter my class code @mier6LFH (LEARN FROM HOME)
Students MUST join my google classroom.  I will post assignments, discussions, and other information there.   Students will need to make sure they are joining the correct google classroom.

This is my fourth year with Columbia Middle School and my second year teaching.
My husband is retired military and we have settled here in Columbia County.  We have two children and a very spoiled cat. 
I look forward to working with all of my students and families this school year.
