This is my fifth year at CMS teaching Physical Science.
I have a background in biology as well as grades 6-12 science education. I love all things science and look forward to a wonderful school year!

Course Sequence and Pacing Guide

As in high school, this course is divided into two semesters. Each semester consists of two 9-week grading periods. The general topics covered in each semester are as follows:

1st Semester: atoms and bonding, conservation of matter, properties of solutions, phases of matter and molecular motion, nuclear structure and radioactive decay

2nd Semester: motion and forces, energy, waves, electricity and magnetism

This is a high school course and can count for 1 of your 4 science credits required to graduate. At the end of the year you will have the option to either Accept or Reject this class as credit for high school. Please keep this in mind and take this class seriously throughout the year.

- Calculator (does not need to be a graphing calculator)

- Pens/pencils

- Colored pencils
