Coach Wuchte's 8th Grade Georgia Studies

Welcome to Coach Wuchte’s Georgia Studies page. I am excited to be entering my 14th year of teaching. Prior to teaching, I spent 20 years in law enforcement in Richmond County. I have an Associate’s degree from Georgia Military College, Bachelors and Master’s degrees from Augusta State University as well as a Masters degree from Capella in Criminal Justice.

This is my second year at Columbia Middle School, last year I was the ISS teacher. I taught Georgia Studies and coached baseball at Lakeside Middle for a couple of years and spent the rest of my teaching in high school. I am also in my second year of being the boys’ basketball coach here at CMS.

I have been married for over 30 years, my wife is an assistant principal in another county and I have 4 adult children.  In my spare time I umpire Georgia and South Carolina High School softball.

I look forward to getting to know the students this year and help each of them succeed. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me and I will do my best to respond within 24 hours.

The students will get their Google Classroom codes and most work will be posted on that platform. Many parents have figured out that just because an assignment reflects submitted it does not mean it was completed. Some students may partially complete work and hit submit so it does not show up as missing. Please encourage your student to be thorough with their assignments and seek assistance if they are having an problems.
