QUIZ on CONFLICT. Complete this quiz *today*.
Use the conflict activity from yesterday along with the notes that I gave you. If you choose not to use your notes from the activity and from me, you will not do well!
Conflict notes:
There are FIVE types of CONFLICT in literature:
Human vs. Self
Human vs. Human
Human vs. Society
Human vs. Nature
Human vs. Fate
Human vs. Self – a character has a struggle within one’s own mind or heart (think about Gerta in A Night Divided when she was unsure whether they should have told Ana about Peter escaping or not).
Human vs. Human – a character has a conflict with another character (conflict can be verbal or physical; an argument).
Human vs. Society – a character has a problem with a part of society, like a rule or law that they think is unjust.
Human vs. Nature – a character is struggling with a natural element, like a tornado, hurricane, fire, etc. (Think about the story we read about the Tsunami).
Human vs. Fate – The character struggles with something that seems totally out of their control, like a freak accident, like a car crash for example.
