Theatre Class at Columbia Middle School
Class overview
The purpose of this course is to expose students to Performing Arts through building character education, supporting academic core classes and enhancing personal growth. The goal is to help students find a variety of ways to enjoy learning by opening their minds to a new learning experience. Classes are 9-weeks for 50 minutes each day. This is an Educational-Theatre class and not a Performance-Based class. However, students will have opportunities to present.

ABOUT ME
mS. SHERIE bUSH
Here are a few facts about me
1. I am from Miami, Fla and I have 2 adult children. Skylah (25) HBCU FAMU graduate in Theatre. She is working as a Professional Actress and teaching Theatre. My son Rodney (23) graduated of Florida A&M University on a tennis scholarship and is now attending med school studying to be a Psychiatrist.
2. I have a Masters Degree in Education. I have been teaching Theatre in public schools for the past 17 years. I have also worked professionally as an actor, director and model. I am most proud of creating a year round Children's Theatre Program that seated 240. This program is still running after 25 years just as I designed it and has produced students who has joined the industry.
3. I have taught in middle school and high school.
4. I have about 34 students who have worked in TV, Film, Theatre and the Modeling industry.
